Muhlenbergia

Muhlenbergia
(SOLD)

In my work, I often explore the feeling of fullness, a state of emotional completeness that, for me, arises when appreciation and joy exist in harmony. Appreciation represents inner peace, a quiet gratitude for the present moment. Joy brings satisfaction, a lightness of being. This piece, like much of my practice, explores that delicate balance.

Through my signature style of landscape painting, I evoke the stillness of appreciation: serene, spacious, and grounded. To contrast and complement this, I integrate subtle human figures that embody the innocence and spontaneity of joy.

In Muhlenbergia, I’ve used bright yellow to radiate joy and energy, while a soft dusty blue tempers its intensity, adding depth and calm. A touch of pastel pink bridges these two energies, while deep teal anchors the composition, offering contrast and emotional weight. Each color, each element, is chosen to mirror the interplay between serenity and delight, the emotional terrain where I think fullness lives.
